Command Performance
What if… being led by the Spirit is a good practice, but bad theology; because it takes our focus away from obeying Christ’s commands?

for if you are living according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
Someone just claimed that a) this is the only verse that explicitly talks about "being led by the Spirit" and b) it is focused primarily on "holiness" rather than "guidance."
This would be a significant shift from how I’ve thought about being Spirit-led. I’m curious whether it matches your understanding or experience!
